I was a really average student in high school with a 88-89 gpa. I got a 24 act- 25 with my 2 tests combined.

I went away to a state school but really wasn't ready to go away so after orientation and a week of being away at school I returned home and just went to my local community college. This decision was the worst thing I have ever done and I regret it still to this day. This was in 2010. For a number of reasons I just wasn't doing well in school for the first two semesters.
I now have a 3.1 gpa and have been trying to transfer for a long time! It seems when I finish applications or am about to something just goes wrong!!!

I have an associates from the stupid community college I went to in New York.
Ive been trying to find a school to transfer to in the Los Angeles area but have had no luck
I was accepted to the Spring 2014 term at CSU Long Beach but then was notified in December (a month before I was suppose to attend) that my philosophy class didn't actually count to fill their requirement even though my school and professor insisted it did. So now I enrolled in a critical thinking class to fulfill it but the deadline was in November 2013... I tried to contact them since they only let me know in December 2013 I could no longer attend but they said I would have to wait until the spring semester... I CANT be out of school for ANOTHER semester. I am already a year behind because of all of this.. and now I feel like I'm taking a class that I don't need to......

I am really interested in television production and writing. However my college gpa isn't really that great and it really kills me every day! I can't believe I have been stuck in the same spot for over a year now trying to find a school to get into!

I'm open to going to other places in Southern California.. maybe Miami... and I guess last resort would be in New York. Preferably closer to NYC.

I'm just having a really hard time doing this on my own and don't really have that much help that I can get with people that I know. When I tried to get help from the Community College I graduated from they weren't too much help and told me to enroll in their program there.. which is not what I want.

I'm starting to feel defeated after trying to do this since I started going to community college.

If anyone can help I really appreciate it. :

Thanks.
