REALLY NEED HELP! - Received 2 internship offers but unsure how to proceed

<p>I have received an internship offer from company A about a week ago and they gave me until today to respond. </p>

<p>However, a few days ago, HR from company B phoned me and told me that they would be extending an offer to me for an internship soon.</p>

<p>I really like company B more and would like to join them even though I haven't officially received an offer from them. I am unsure how to proceed as I have to make a decision very soon.</p>

<p>I don't want to reject company A before even receiving an official offer from company B since then i would not have anything on my hands.</p>

<p>I was thinking about asking company A to extend their deadline for a few days but I am not sure if this would be possible.</p>

Also, can you call Company B today and ask them to e-mail or fax you the details.</p>

<p>This may be too late, but I recommend whatever you hear from company B you make sure you get in writing. </p>
