Really need some ADVICE!

Hi, I'm currently a high school senior who want to definitely keep the option for medical school open. I have begun to recieve acceptances to many colleges, the problem being that i applied to the engineering schools. For example, i recieved an acceptance to RPI(school of eng.), and might consider attending. I figured that Biomed Engineering would keep the option of Med school open but the more i view this forum and the rpi website, the more i realize that i might have sort of hurt my chance for med. school because as many of you claim
1. my gpa will suffer
2. i will not meet the req. (e.g. even biomedical eng. at RPI does not include organic chemistry)

Does anyone have any advice about what i should do?? I got into many good eng. school such as RPI, WPI, Syracuse, SUNY Bing, and Stony Brook, but are they good for Pre-Med>?

I'm kinda worried about what i did. Advice plz...thanx for listening

If you can do well in biomed engineering then it'll be a definate plus and it gives you something to fall back on if you decide you dont want to go to med school. Otherwise, you can ALWAYS change your major when u get to college...there are easy engineering majors which dont have very much engineering to them or if you want i'm sure most of those schools have the option of transferring from the engineering school to the regular arts and sciences school. As for the requirements, look around because some schools do require most of the premed courses in biomed engineering....of course it wont cover each and every one...but the majority is good enough.
