I am a student at one of the top ranked high schools in the nation, number 8 on the newsweek list.
I have a low gpa, not very many EC's, but okay test scores.
UC GPA: 3.61. Took 3 weighted classes this year, taking 5 next year as a senior.
SAT:
M:760
CR:670
W:720
SATII's:
Math II: 750
Biology: 730
Literature: 710
Chemistry: 750
Took AP Biology and AP Calculus tests, still waiting for reply.
ECs:
Volunteering at Library: Every year
Volunteering at the Local Boys and Girls Club: On and Off
I would like to know my chances at the UCs, especially UCI.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this.

Calculate your GPA into UC GPA calculator, it may be higher. Your extra-curricular are weak…sorry Your SAT are very good, and it might offset your GPA. I think UC Berkley, UCLA, and UCSD are out of reach, UC Irvine will probably be a reach, I would make sure the admission officer knows its your first choice. UC Davis, Santa Barbara, and Riverside might be match. Work really hard on your essay, try to get your grades up, visit some of the campuses, take on more extra-curricular activites. GOOD LUCK!
