<p>my sister got accepted in upenn for masters.she was a day scholar in her ug.she is really really nervous about going there and living alone.thousands of miles away from india.she feels really scared about her safety.
PLS SOMEONE TELL ME:
1.HOW IS CAMPUS LIFE THERE?
2.ARE PEOPLE FRIENDLY TO INDIANS?
3.IS THE PLACE UNSAFE FOR GIRLS?
4.DO INTL STUDENTS MAKE FRIENDS EASILY?
5.WILL SHE HAVE A GOOD TIME AT PENN \??
PLEASE REPLY.im losing my sleep over this.....its really important.YOUR SUGGESTIONS GIVE THE NECESSARY MORAL SUPPORT TO ME/MY SISTER.</p>

<li>Penn is safe. India is much more unsafe for girls than most places in the USA.</li>

<p>Your sister can contact Penn and ask for the email id/contact no. of a present Penn student from India to reassure herself. Also, as far as I know - most colleges have an International Student committee which specifically helps new students settle in.</p>
<p>Penn is as safe a place as anywhere else(at the current rate - safer than India anyway).</p>
<p>Other than that, if your sister is smart, outgoing and by & large independent - she should have no problem having fun!! :D</p>

also im concerned about her accomodation.if she doesnt get an on campus accomodation,tell me honestly people,how safe is off-campus housing???
