Hey Guys!
I am applying ED to Vassar in the Fall and as of right now I have a composite ACT score of 30 with a writing component of 8/12.
I fall in the middle range of Vassar's 29-33 ACT scores.
I'm quite awful in mathematics and by some miracle i pulled off a 26 on the science section the first time I took the test.
I did realize though, that after two months of summer, I forgot most of the math I knew in Junior Year. Is it worth taking the ACT to try to get my English to a 36 and get my composite to a 31, or will the 1 point really not make a difference?
and same thing for the writing component, with an 8 being the average score, will getting a 9 or a 10 really make a huge difference?
I'd appreciate a quick response since I'm possibly taking the ACT tomorrow.
Thanks guys! :)

Quick Bump because I would really appreciate an answer

Honsetly, hard to say. In that kind of score range, single points may make a difference. It’s not like you have a really high score (34, 35, 36 range), and getting one extra point may put you in front of people with slightly lower scores, or 30’s. I guess my advice would be try and do your best. If you don’t do better, cancel the score( on the act you can cancel the score after taking the test as well). If you do better, it’d be worth it. Like, why not take it if you signed up?
