Hi,
This is for the parent's "job category" section. My mom's a teacher, what would she go under? the choices are like clerical, service, professional, other, technical, administrator/management, operative, proprietor. i tried to look it up online without much luck.
thanks!

oh yeah sorry. also, she attended, like, a vocational school in another country. it was two years, but she doesn’t have a diploma for it. would that be “2 year college graduate” “some college” or “high school graduate”

I don’t think it matters much. But I would put down “professional” and “2 year college graduate.”

I’m guessing it might make a difference, and I’d suggest putting either “some college” or “high school graduate” (colleges tend to look favorably on first-generation college applicants; it might help if you are in that situation).

“Some college” would be the best description for having attended a post-high-school school but did not get an associates or bachelor’s degree.

A teacher would either be a “professional” or “other” in terms of employment classification, depending on whether “professional” includes teacher (there does not seem to be too much consensus).

Thanks everyone. (lol for really late reply). I put down “other” and “some college”.
