REALLY random/picky question about essay

<p>When you're typing your college essay, should you double space between sentences?</p>

<p>My mom insists that is is correct to have two spaces between each sentence, but I have never typed this way in my life, and I don't really like the way it looks. Anybody?</p>

<p>I believe the convention of typing two spaces between sentences is a relic of the typewriter age.</p>

<p>Two spaces is grammatically correct. I don't think you will be punished for using one, however.</p>
