<p>From the time when i was small to now ive always wanted to go to a highly prestigious school and now that im a sophmore i cant help but think ive ruined all my chances. the schools i would like to go to most are uc berkeley, wharton at upenn, and princeton. freshman year i got 2b's (one in art and one in english), And im still not the leader of any clubs but i am doing volunteer. I wish somebody would help me and tell me what I should do to improve my chances...

<p>You are a sophomore… You have plenty of time to bring up your overall GPA. The thing that will help you get into prestigious schools is being all around, so join some clubs, show some leadership, do a lot of volunteering, maybe join some sports teams… You don’t want to be the kid who only gets straight A’s… If you see the responses from some official ED threads from schools like UPenn, people got straight A’s and still missed out. Be unique and diverse… Hope that helps</p>

yeah i did swim last year and tennis this year and last
but im just really worried because all my asian(im asian^^) friends in my year all have all as and have really good extracurricular activities
but i was able to get the secretary position for chinese school…hoping that helps</p>
<p>I understand Asians are very competitive (coming from an Indian =P) but you have to just calm yourself down… you’re a sophomore. Just have fun in High School, and you’ll succeed in life.</p>
