soo there was this huge bubbling error with my SAT IIs...at the end i was crying but i couldn't cancel because it was a december test and i needed the other test score...so am i basically screwed? should i take my 1370 in sat I over in jan? or should i take over those twos? (p.s. i am applying to hotel for fall 2005)

how bad were the SAT II's?

800 (october so no effect)-writing, 680 (IIc), 630 US, 570 world...us and world were the ones messed up ifu can't tell

Oh man, SATs stink. I would suggest working on the SAT IIs because the Hotel School SAT average is only 1320 and you're well above it. They weigh work experience and your interview much more heavily than the test scores. The Hotel School is Cornell's exception in that way.

Take over the SAT II's, 1370's not bad.

same thing happened to me, i realized I messed up early on on my MATH 1C, and so, i decided to take the 2C then, no prep to show them I could do well. I ended up with a 360 in Math 1c (no surprise) and 750 in 2c...so, they knew my score was a fluke when i'd always done well in math. if you did well in those subjects in school, then don't take the 2s again, but if you didn't and know you can do a lot better, then take them again.

Thanks u guys!! you think cornell will take my jan scores???

i sent an email about that; hopefully they'll check back with me soon. i need to take jan sats too.

do u kno if it is generally ok??

most schools allow jan. sats...

hbehnke are u taking Is or IIs?

My friend's mother is a professor at Columbia and I think she said rushing your scores will give you about an 80% chance of admissions seeing them. There's always that chance they've already read your file, but I'm sure it would be used for further consideration. Just make sure you rush! :)

hey cornell2009hotelie what is ur screenname btw?
