Really Struggling Senior Year in Chem E

Just finishing fall quarter and I'm really struggling in my senior year of Chemical Engineering. Looking to try and pull around a 2.4 GPA this quarter, that's if everything goes well. Believe me, this does NOT meet my expectations, but I am studying as much as a physically can. My cumulative at my school is 3.4 right now (which will drop dramatically since I only have 35 credits at the 4 year school before this quarter). This quarter was Physical Chemistry, Research (3 creds), Mass Transport 3, Reactor Design. I am getting a 4.0 in my research, the rest is garbage.

What should I do? I have put so much work into mainting a good GPA, and now I am pretty flustered. Wishing I hadn't gone down the Chem E path at this point. It's eating my entire life and not paying off, don't even know if I can get a job with a couple quarters like this. I've made it this far, but this is really getting me down.

Any advice?

Hey man, just hanging in there. Just do the best you can.

Chemical Engineering was tough for me too. I thought about switching every year, but I hung in there. It really paid off, literally and figuratively. I am probably gonna get a masters in mechanical engineering, while continue my work as a process engineer.

Is it as hard in a job environment as it is in school? It’s incredibly difficult, and I usually was the top of my class before the department classes, now I’m getting 6 hours of sleep max just to keep up.

That Physical Chemistry is a tough one!!I kinda know how you feel sometimes I wonder if it’s worth it all with all the heavy courses and whatnot.Just makes me ponder.
