Really wanna get into Georgia Tech!!!

<p>I AM A CURRENT JUNIOR AND I REALLY WANT TO GET INTO GEORGIA TECH!!! WILL I GET IN??? MY SAT SCORES ARE AVERAGE: 2020 ACT: 31</p>

<p>I have many Extra Circulars and have also founded a club for charity. I have a black belt in american tkd and am currently a 2nd degree.</p>

<p>HERE ARE MY STATS: ONLY CORE CLASSES- ALL OTHER ELECTIVES ARE A'S</p>

<p>FRESHMAN YEAR( 1ST SEMESTER)
HONORS BIOLOGY:89
9TH GRADE LIT: 94
HONORS FRENCH 2: 94

AMERICAN GOVT: 85</p>

<p>2ND SEMESTER</p>

HONORS FRENCH 2: 94

<p>**- I took the online precal and learned absolutely nothing so this is the reason as to why my AP Calc grade is bad. I am trying real hard to pull it to a passing grade by the end of the semester. This will prob be a dagger to my GPA!</p>

<p>I will improve my SAT and try very hard second semester of junior year!!!</p>

<p>I am a Georgia resident: What are my chances of getting into Georgia Tech???</p>

<p>I want to major as an environmental engineer... PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I CAN GET IN!!!!</p>

<p>I’m sure your chances are high. Your grades can be higher, but your SAT and ACT scores are really good for you just to be a junior. You have a good amount of time to improve :).</p>

<p>work on that calc grade (get a tutor) and the rest will be fine</p>

<p>Trying to imagine the concept of “Many Extra Circulars” - collecting rubber bands, perhaps? :)</p>

<p>haha, btw the honors algebra grade that was just a 9, is a 97. Yea I need to improve on that Calc Grade, thats the one thing that spoils my transcript. Thanks for all the replies and comments! :)</p>

<p>I don’t know how much weight GT gives to extracurriculars. It’s a state school, so probably looks more at GPA, test scores, and maybe rank.</p>

<p>I would assume if you are targeting GT that your Calculus grade will be more important than any other grade on your transcript.</p>
