Really wanna go to Brown, think I could make it?

Hello all!
This is my first time posting, and I know that I may seem pressed, but I guess I really want to know. I’m a junior at a somewhat selective private school, and well, it’s time to get serious about college. I’ve done my research, and I LOVE Brown (especially the open curriculum!).
Rank
Somewhere in the top 10%, last time I saw my rank it was 18/~200

Special thing
-will be studying abroad in Chile this March for 6 months. I have put a lot of time into making this happen, including going through lengthy application process and working to pay for half of the program’s cost. The grades that I get in Chile will transfer to my current high school. I plan on coming back fluent in Spanish, which will be wonderful since I also plan on majoring in International Relations.

Application: Early Decision

Well that’s about it! I really appreciate everybody’s time, and if anyone has any more info that they think I could use, please don’t hesitate to share. ;)

P.S. Oh yeah, I’m also looking at applying to Amherst, Middlebury, and maybe SUNY Binghamton (maybe).

yup you can :)
best of luck.

Thanks so much! I hope you're right! Anyone else have any input?

Ya, you have a good chance.

Your grades and scores aren't stellar, but they're definitely in a good range to apply to Brown. Try to make your passion for international relations / cultural stuff come through in your essay. It looks like you're a real self-starter, so if this is clear in your application, it'll make it stronger. Good luck!

Thanks so much! I am a self starter; I'm very independant, especially when it comes to my education, and I know that Brown would be perfect for me. I'll try my hardest to make sure that my passion for learning about other cultures, and learning in general, comes through in my essays. Other than that (and getting a decent SAT score), I guess that's about all I can do.

Yet another question, sorry! Since I hope to come back from my study abroad fluent in Spanish, and since the SAT II Writing test is no longer offered, I was wondering, does anybody know if I would be allowed to take the Spanish SAT II test and the Spanish with listening SAT II test for my two subject tests required to apply to Brown?

technically, you might be able to, but im sure its frowned upon...as in, dont do it

Yeah, that doesn't sound like a good idea.

Oh, well guess that I really didn't think that'd be ok, but thanks for the replies!
