Really Want to Apply to NYU

I've been really thinking about NYU, I'm in love with New York and I heard they have a great Psychology program. My GPA is about a 3.8, I make As and Bs. I'm taking 2 AP classes, out of the 3 that I can take. I struggle in math, but excel in pretty much all of my other classes. I'm a junior. I go to a Creative and Performing Arts high school for Literary Arts. I've been involved with a competitive dance team for four years. I haven't taken my SATs yet, I'm taking them in March. I was wondering what makes a New York University student? What are admissions like (whats important, what I should stress)?

Thank you!

Just do well in school, keep your GPA up. Try to log in some volunteer hours. Get a job if you can, now or in the summer. NYU seems to like candidates who are well rounded, involved with EC’s, leadership and volunteer/and or community service.
Best of luck to you.
