Really want to go to CUNY Brooklyn College

I put this on the "New York Colleges" section, but I was wondering if maybe people on this section could also give me some advice even though you may not know much about this school :)

To keep it short and simple, I really want to go to Brooklyn College. It's a beautiful campus, they have a nice selection of classes for my intended major and I just love it. However, it's one of the competitive CUNYs to get into now.

My SAT scores aren't that great: CR: 560 M: 430 W: 600

Most of the CUNYs don't even accept the Writing, so my combined CR+M score is 990 and Brooklyn College says that at least 1000 is eligible for admission. (The median is about 1130). It really sucks because the only thing absymal is my Math score :(

I emailed the director of undergraduate admissions and told her my interest in the school and my dilemma and her response was that I take the SAT or the ACT again to see if I can get a higher score.

The problem with this is that I've already taken the SAT three times and the ACT twice, and only two SATs counted for anything. My mom paid for all those tests and I just hate to bother her with paying for another one :/ Forget about my dad, he didn't even understand why I took five tests, he would've rather I had taken two.

I guess what I'm asking is should I try to ask my mom if I can taken another SAT or should I ask the director of admissions the qualifications for a conditional acceptance? I'm just really afraid to take another SAT because I REALLY suck in math and I don't want to wind up with a bad score and waste my mom's money again 'cause she really does not deserve that....

Thanks in advance!

What were your ACT scores?

I did comment on your other post. Read what i wrote. What is your GPA?

Thank you for the responses! I got a 21 on the ACT. And thank you lilmelonred for your response on my other thread, I answered back :D

So what do you propose I do? Take the SAT again or message the director? Or simply wait…
