<p>Hey everyone!</p>

<p>So this is a pretty stupid question, but here goes.. haha</p>

<p>What's "rhetoric"? I'm taking AP Lang next year, and I'm assuming it's a method of writing? I picked up CliffsAP and Barrons for it (school starts in a few days and I don't wanna sound like an idiot! O:) ), but haven't had time to really look it up and see what rhetoric is... </p>

<p>Rhetoric is really an “umbrella term” that encompasses everything you basically ever talk about in english class - style, tone, diction, etc. Basically, it’s the art of writing and words in general - how you use the words at your disposal to create efficacious senses and effects to get your point across astutely and completely</p>
