Reapplying although already accepted

Hello everyone,

I was accepted to Georgetown MSB last year (April, 2010), however I did not receive any financial aid so I could not enroll. I am an international student, and Georgetown has limited financial aid for internationals...I am now attending another college in the U.S. and I'm wondering if it would make sense to reapply this year as a transfer student, applying for financial aid again. They might see it as a sign of my strong desire to attend so they would be more willing to give me some aid...but it might just be a waste of time. Any thoughts? Thanks

Financial aid is need-based, so it really only changes if your family’s financial situation changes (with very few exceptions). I’m sorry to say that I don’t think reapplying is worth the time.

Nope, most colleges give less financial aid to transfers than incoming freshmen, and you’re international to boot. Not worth it.

Okay, that’s what I thought, thank you!
