Reapplying to Same College After Failing Out?

I don't know if this would count as a Transfer Thread post, but this is the best place I could think of asking this...

I failed out after a year at a private school out east (went there fall 2008 - spring 2009). In the letter, they told me that they will consider my application for readmission (it's a sheet of paper/ essay question, not a full app) after a year or more of me being separated from the university. Also, they said that I didn't necessarily need to take classes in order to be allowed back in. My GPA was around a 1.2 or something. I have taken full time classes at my CC, and my GPA is a 3.3 as of now (still waiting on some grades from this semester). HOWEVER I have gotten 2 NPs and 1 C which is why this GPA isn't so high. On the other hand, I have worked full time, have a really impressive internship, am starting my own company - basically my extracurriculars are quite great.

Do you think this would be enough to get readmitted? I really want to go back.

Depends on how selective your private school is…

That being said, I don’t think anyone can give you a definite yes or no to your question.

If you want to go back to school, then just reapply it.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Am not sure, but I recommend that you try doing a search and see what comes up.
