Reapplying to Stanford as a senior.

I applied last year as a junior, but I was very naive, late, and messy in my application. I have changed a lot since then, personally and resume-wise. However, there is a box on the supplement that asks if I had applied last year. I was wondering what this entails...will my naivety from last year hurt me as an applicant this year? or do they only want to know that information for data collection?
if they pull up my file from last year and read through it, i think my application this year could be hurt a little bit, just because I know how bad my application from last year really was.

idk if they’ll actually pull up your info from last year, but regardless, you shouldn’t lie. definitely check the box and admit you applied… if you’re really THAT worried, use the additional info box to tell them about how you think you’ve changed (be brief, but convey the message that you hope they’ll re-evaluate you as an applicant based on who you are now, not who you were a year ago)

alright, sir/madame bunny. I shall check the box of doom.
(btw, great name  )
