Hello I was an applicant for the top boarding school for Fall of 2013 and got rejected and wait listed to all of them. Right now I am having trouble if I should apply again because I feel as though I wont be able to get in and will just waste my time with essays and applications. Next year I will be going to a public high school that is one of the best in Connecticut and also the United States. I don't know if it makes sense to even go to private school if I have a good public school in my area. Does anyone have a list of pros and cons of reapplying? Should i just reapply or let boarding school go? What would you do if you were in my place?

Everyone has unique and personal reasons for pursuing a SS education along with the standard reasons most people share. It’s up to you to draw the line down the center of the page and figure out what the pros and cons are. No one can do that for you.

Many students try again and it’s not because they don’t have a good/great option at home.
