Reasonable to send ACT and SAT?

Would it hurt me to send my SAT score (740/800/800), given my ACT score (36/36/34/36/10)? They are both single sitting. My parents don't think my SAT score should be sent, but I'm still a bit worried that some colleges might have a slight preference for either test (though obviously, this information isn't disclosed). Can I send both test scores or would the SAT hurt me, relatively speaking?

To be clear, my intentions in making this thread are contained in the above statements/questions and I have no ulterior motive in its creation. Thank you!

Additional scores like that will not hurt you at all.
Both sets of scores are stellar.

Colleges profess not having a preference so you can either believe them or instead believe that they are rotten, bold-faced liars and who secretly favor one test over another. If you choose to believe them then sending just ACT is fine. Nevertheless, in your case, sending both is fine because the scores are so high on both.
