<p>There ARE Federal colleges -- the service academies, the Armed Forces Medical College, the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and so on. And oh, yeah, no tuition payments for them, either! :D</p>
<p>I can see the reason for my state taxes subsidizing my student at her state school, but it would be nice if I could trade my in state UC spot for an in state tuition at another school :) But then you lose your in state grant, too, if you qualify for one.</p>
