Reasons to be "nerdy".

World domination is cool. I think I'll stick to taking the world over through manipulation, and not nerdiness, though. Or I could just mooch off evil dictators... I may pick that one.

In my school, there are a few good-looking nerdy guys. One very good thing about being a fellow nerd!

This basically made me realize it was all worth being a complete nerd.

I was in my homebase class getting my Progress report for this term. A girl sitting next to me who is a realtively good student got her progress report first and said, "OMG, I have an A+ in baking." Everybodies like "Wow good job." Except for me, because at that exact second I get my progress report and says I have an A+ in Advanced Biology (My schools equivalent to AP Bio because were a public school and can't afford to pay the AP materials). I turn to her and say, "Yeah, I have an A+ too, in Advanced Bio."

It was pretty awesome and I know I look like an ass but I don't respect my schoolmates. They are all drunken idiots who are going nowhere and they all hate me. The administration and faculty love me, just not the students.

i m not a nerd, but i gotta say being nerd aint bad

when ppl beating u up everyday, try to stay conscience and watch their moves, then when u get out of skool, be the tech for the gangsters and u'll have the best moves and the most important non-fighting jobs

"I turn to her and say, "Yeah, I have an A+ too, in Advanced Bio."

Yep you sound like an ass. Try toning down the ego.

I don't try to be nerdy, its just a reflection of myself I suppose. However, I go to a school designed for nerds and geeks, and even then I'm among the nerdiest students on campus. Beat that.

To be honest, normally I don't have that big an ego. Just that one moment.

I'm a nerd, all the way. It's really fun too cause you can joke about world domination and do all the things elladorkess said.

Although most nerds at my school are not very good-looking, they're very sweet and we snort, point, and laugh at silly people who think it's cool not to try in school. Sometimes I see other really nerdy-looking people when I go out and it's like meeting a kindred spirit. I think they're absolutely adorable.

im in the IB program and im a full time athlete or a jock whatever way you wanna say it
all the top runners in my school are all IB NERDS, but we can also fall into the category of jocks....we can take lacrosse, football, baseball all of them.. :)
so are nerdy boys better than jocks?
what about nerdy jocks hahahahahha lol lmao? :)

Very true about the good conversations and the monopoly games. my friends and I have so many stupid inside jokes that only nerdy people would find amusing. Also, sarcasm... everyone makes feeble attempts to use sarcasm, but I really think that nerds are the best at it.

Furthermore, it usually holds true that nerds have much less drama in their lives than the more "popular" kids... sometimes I think that I have some kind of magnetic force that repels drama from me... my friends are the same way.

boast about getting into top colleges

Most nerds are the ones who get the best long-term monetary returns, unlike the jocks. And we may have no social lives, but who cares for now? Yes, it stinks, but it is only for a small amount of time; in the real world, the nerds get the rewards and the jocks get the shaft.

What are y'all talking about? This concept of wanting to be dumber is new to me.

OR, you're smart, so you chose a value system which benefits you (inteligence is the only thing that matters).

We don't exactly just wake up one day and say "I want to be a nerd"; there is influence from other nerd family members as well.
And from your tone I get the sense you are a jock.
