OK, so I am just trying to prepare myself for not getting in, as I am pretty sure I won't...and I know that many people think that it is ridiculous to be worried and scared or w/e...but anyways...

I'm trying to start a list of reasons:

Why I Wouldn't Want To Go To Cornell Anyway...

and of course I want to go there so please help me and point out the BAD things about it so I can comfort myself! hahahahhah THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK I thought of some but I STILL NEED MORE!!!!!!

*Two words: suicide rate.
*It would rly suck to be truckin around the campus up and down hills in 5 ft of snow
*It is the bottom-feeder of the Ivy League...

-students are way too competitive
-easiest ivy to get into but hardest to graduate from (c-nell is far from grade inflation)
-the winter weather---no need to further explain that haha

There actually isn't a high suicide rate at Cornell, much of that is overdramatized because of the gorges. Students at Cornell see it as a really sensitive subject, so it should not be used as a joke.

Cornell is really hard ie: lots of hard work. Highest averages in classes is like a 65-75 and their is no grade inflation ie: Harvard where hey hand out A's like it is nobodies business. From what my brother tells me you will be lucky to do good at Cornell.

Please do not joke about suicide, it is serious. And, it is a myht, there is no high suicide rate here. There are also lots of frat parties every weekend, if you're into that, as well as other stuff to do.

I do agree however, that it is ridiculously hard schoolwork wise. The winter weather does kinda suck, but it hasn't snowed really yet and it's December already (that's a good thing).

same here, i can't wait for the cold weather when walking to classes, and then when you walk inside it is warm, ahhh, the best feeling in the world, i hope i get in, i can't wait for that a year from now

You guys think that now...but it will be COLD. And snowy. And cloudy. And sunless....for days and weeks and months. Let's put it this way...on the first 40 degree day of the spring semester, people wear SHORTS.

i have one question, TCAT?, but yeah i still am looking forward to the cold, it will make spring and summer that much more fun, if i get in that is

TCAT is the Ithaca city bus system, and is indispensible. For $200 a year or so, you can get a pass that gives you unlimited rides around campus as well as anywhere in the city. I highly recommend it!
