I’m a prospective transfer from a large university and I’m having one of my gsi’s (graduate student instructor) write a rec. letter for me as I’ve had way more interaction with him than my professor. I don’t think he’s written many rec. letters so I was wondering what are some good general guidelines I could give him about writing one. Is there anything he should focus on, particularly as I’m a transfer applicant?

Also does anyone have any new info on Brown’s transfer policy? Do you think their transfer acceptance rate will stay as low as it was last year?
