rec letters

so how should i approach my teachers for rec letters?
do the teachers that will be writing my rec letters also have to fill out the evaluation form for me?

Decide how many recommendations you want to request. I suggest that if you need 3, that you ask 4 or 5 teachers. Think about which teachers know you well, and who you think will write a fair, accurate, and positive letter. The teachers will need to fill out some paperwork in most cases (see Common App or the application for the schools you are considering). You also have a form to complete that says you forego seeing your recommendation (you decide if you want to do that).
Just ask the teachers if they would please write a recommendation for you. You should provide a copy of your activities so they have additional information.
Make sure they know who to give the completed recommendation (probably your counselor) and by when. Give your teacher plenty of time, and follow up with a personal thank you as well.

Yup, and they write like a page about you.

I talked to my teachers a lot after class, so I just brought it up casually. Most junior teachers expect it.

Oops, double postage.

hm well i think my chemistry teacher likes me but he’s definitely not a writer. what do i do then? also, my english teacher likes me but i think he thinks im a bit ‘ditzy’ sometimes cuz i forget things easily. lol what do i do?

I would mention that it’s extremely important and that you hope they would be able and willing to leave negative tidbits out. At least, that’s what any good-hearted teacher would do (and most are).

oh okay thank you!
