I am trying to determine my recalculated GPA, but I'm confused. I understand AP/IB/DE classes allow 1 additional point, and Pre-Ap/Honors recieve .5. BUT My school system's scale allows .4 instead of .5 for plus grade( if that makes since). For example, a B would be equivalent to 3, while a B+ would be 3.4 (instead of 3.5). When calculating would I add 3.5 or 3.4?

This is how FSU calculates your FSU GPA. They take only the base score. The take an A or B or C and they DROP any + or -. A grade of B+ to them is a B. A grade of A- to them is an A. They add weight for honors etc onto the base grade. Now that most high schools break down a course on the transcript to two 0.5 semesters, this link uses that basis in calculating the GPA. FSU uses only core cores, and nothing else. No art or music or band or architecture etc. Plug your grades into this worksheet using a 3 for a B and a weight of .5 or 1.0 as appropriate and forget the +/-, and you will pretty much have the GPA FSU/UF/UCF/USF uses.

FSU does use +/- grades once you get there in their own grading, but to calculate your HS GPA, they just use the base grade.

whew! Okay thank you soo much! That had me really confused!
