My school is already on a 4.0 Scale. I go to a school in the Silicon Valley and it is super competitive. However, being in California we are on the “UC” 4.0 Scale where all grades that start with A are 4.0 all grades that start with B are a 3.0 and so on. Do most colleges recalculate GPAs? Almost all the students at this school get A-'s it seems. Can someone let me know how harshly it will affect me if my GPA is recalculated here is my school list:
My GPA is a UW 3.78 and a W 4.32
Tulane
NYU LSP London
Babson College
UCLA/UCSD/UCI (Not worried about these)
USC (Not worried about this)
UDub
U Mish Ann Arbor
UT Austin
Boston College
Boston University
Unversity of Toronto
Cal Poly SLO (Not Worried)
Bentley University
University of Virginia
Many schools recalculate GPA. There is no way to tell how you might be affected based on the info provided.
@“Erin’s Dad” So would you think that it could affect me alot or very little, enough to make me not get admitted?
A school’s policy on GPA conversion will have no effect at all on the admissions process. Since most colleges are not transparent about whether they recalculate or not, your question is really unanswerable.
