Recalculating GPA's

Hi, currently a junior. Does USNA, or any other service academy recalculate high school GPA's to their own criterion? I've been browsing through various threads and have noticed people with 4.5 and 4.6 GPA's!!! LOL, i'm a bit uneasy b/c thru freshman and soph. year I only have a 3.75 unweighted...

our county has an "A" at 94-100, "B+" at 90-93....and so on. an "A" in a normal class is a 4.0, in an AP/IB class, it's 4.5...a "B+" in a normal class is a 3.5

any help would be appreciated. thanks!

The SA's do re-weight. Our ds's showed up as his uw gpa. They gave him a uw on a 7pt scale, which is what our school does(the SA gpa was the same as his gpa uw). I think the difference was about .7 in gpa from w to uw

The Air Force Academy reconfigured my GPA to a 4.0 from my "report card GPA" of 3.97 something. Not really sure how they do it, to be honest.

USNA deals with class rank.
