<p>I would say recommendation letters are not really helpful unless you are applying for a Major Scholarship. But, if you were to send the recommendation letters, please have your adviser signed across the flaps of the envelopes.</p>
<p>Hard to say. Alot of the veteran McGill parents (like McGilldad) have seen kids with high GPA's and EC's out the whazoo get nothing from McGill where as everywhere else they've applied they've received scholarships. You have a chance at winning the lotto, if that means anything. </p>
<p>Think of it like this: if you don't expect a scholarship, you won't be disappointed when you don't get one. If you're qualified enough to enter into McGill next year, you shouldn't have any problems getting money from other schools (hell I didn't get a dime under $10k/year from every school I got into except McGill).</p>
<p>I believe for scholarships you submit recommedations. So your guidance counselor would put that in his recommendation, and of course everything that is great about you.</p>
