Reccomendations

So I gave my teachers my recs for EA today, and they both said they'll fill them out and give them to me. However, I also signed to waive access to the rec. Are the teachers supposed to submit it themselves so I cannot see it, or is it okay for them to give it to me so I can send it in?

tell them to submit it if you signed the waive… All they have to do is drop it in a mailbox…

When you give the teachers the forms, you should also give them stamped, addressed envelopes. They need to send the forms directly to the schools. They should not go back to you. The whole idea of the waiver is that the schools will give more weight to the recommendations because they know that you have not seen them, therefore, they were written without fear of how you might react. Of course, unless you chose badly or a teacher is willing to accept a form knowing they could not give you a really great letter, the chances are that the letters will be good no matter what. But is does sometimes happen that a letter is a disappointment.

At any rate, having signed the waiver (which is what you should have done), you should not look at the letters.
