Receipt Confirmation

OK, I am officially a neurotic parent. Now that my daughter has submitted her ED application due today, how and when will she be notified by the College of its receipt? When I log on to the commonapp.org, it appears that the High School has not submitted its forms. It's a small school and her counselor knows my daughter is applying ED and I am almost 100% sure she is on top of things. Is it possible that the School is waiting until today to submit my daughter's transcripts, letter of recommendations, etc, or does it not appear sent on the website because the process is different?

I will call the High School if I have to, but don't want to be too much of a pain on a day when they will have many of their students applying ED!

Many schools mail in their materials. Snail mail submissions don’t show up through the common app.

Counselors wait until the student signs the ED agreement before they sign, even if they do it electronically.

And nearly all schools give a little leeway on deadlines for school submissions. So long as the student portion of the app is in by the deadline, if the school items and scores arrive a day or two later it is generally not a problem.

But, it’s worth following up with the school to see if they are mailing or submitting electronically.
