is that a good sign? anyone else get it?

was it called "in" ? because i got it too. but i thought it was just normal because it still has a "how to apply" info thing on the back

haha possible subliminal messaging? The magazine title "in" means you're "in" at Carnegie Mellon? haha ohhh im so desperate to get in

oh me too, me too.

I got the same thing, but it does talk about applying, so I don't believe it's a sign.

mine talks about life at CMU...the funny thing is, on my status page, the date at which it says this document was sent to me was the exact same as the date on which my application was complete (read by committee)....i think this might very well mean that i've been accepted because they might have sent me this document to make me want to attend CMU after bening accepted, but i dont know, maybe im just wishthinking :D

haha or we're looking into this too much

probably pdoshi, but we should be able to wishful think .. until the letters come

lol interesting comments...

well, in my case, it doesnt help me too much cuz i applied to scs as my first choice and hss for my second choice (which i have heard is really easy to get into) --> i will only be "happy" if i got into scs soo yeaaa...unless they send an "IN" magazine with a special focus on "SCS" loll...im still really anxious

haha very true...and i just got waitlisted at RPI so im really hopin that IN magazine means something haha

Well I got that too, and you know, by the title of the magazine, I thought I was "in", but I would not go that far to assume that I am accepted.

check on your status page the date the magazine was sent to you and the date your application was complete and read by committee

haha my status check doesnt even have the magazine on it...god damn it why couldn't they have named the magazine something else besides "in"

although it is kinda weird for them to send an informational magazine after you've applied...

Current CMU students: How many of you received this? Son applied RD and he hasn't received one. Should we be worried? We've been thinking positive all along. Carnegie's his top choice. :)

haha DJMom don't worry we're all speculating...a lot...basically just passing the time till decisions come

I'm feeling a little worried too, but I guess I shouldn't because the magazine probably doesn't mean anything. Carnegie Mellon is my top choice as well!

i got it yesterday, but i dont think it means anything...although it does seem weird that they're giving us information on applying AFTER we've applied...

I thought it was awfully peculiar as well that they sent the mag out not only after the application deadline, but after they had read my app. They reviewed my app on Feb 7, and the mag was sent on Feb 10.

I won't read too much into it, as my application isn't near stellar enough to expect an "IN."

Nevertheless, the viewbook itself was quite nice, I thought. It had a pretty conversational tone with lots of information about navigating Pittsburgh. Maybe that means something?

Oh well. I can wait two more days, even if my parents ask me daily when I get my letter, and never seem to remember what I tell them every time. /sigh...
