Hi, guys, I was just wondering if you have heard of Princeton since you enrolled. I know that they have to send us a "huge package" but when is that?
And, does someone international know when they're sending us the I-20 forms?

Thanks

Hi, guys, I was just wondering if you have heard of Princeton since you enrolled. I know that they have to send us a "huge package" but when is that?

Thanks

heard FROM, I'm sorry:)

I got the package, but i'm an ED.

The RDers i know have not received their package yet, neither of 'em. Some of them said they're gonna call tonight (tonight our time, mirela ;) ) to ask about it...

I also got the I-20, but as i understand there's no hurry with that. As far as i know, they sent it (by regular mail, so 5-10 days for EEurope) as soon as they got the CoF.

"heard of Princeton" haha! :D

who... whe...why...? Princeton...? They accepted me? Bummer! :D...

but who are they...? innocent clueless face

Oh, Pavalon, don't be so cruel :)
I corrected my mistake immediately

that was not my intention at all! humble, please forgive :o

really, i just thought it was funny! Anyway, it's just a small mistake, it is of no importance.

But i empathize, and worse: i am a super freak to check the spelling errors <-- might have something to do with being an intl and feeling inferior to life-long english speakers... sigh, will i ever be cured?

I'm trying to call them but the line is busy grrr :)
Hey, Pavalon, are you from Bucurest?

waitwait, this package being housing forms etc? If that's what you're referring to, mirela, then yes, I think most int'ls here have gotten it by now. I think a due date to mail out one of the forms is today actually (don't worry tho - I'm sure they'll understand if yours are in later :)). Write them an email if you can't get hold of them to let them know/get confirmation that your card's been received and your happypacket is on the way.

Thanks, mea :)

yes, housing and matriculation forms + medical insurance / medical history...

Although none of the romanian (or moldavian) RD's got the package, i do think it's a good idea to try to call, so that you'll relax, knowing for sure that everything is ok :)

mea: yea i noticed the deadline... but me thinks i'm gonna send the first patch of forms back through normal mail (it costs 10x less than priority) tomorrow... I wonder if they expect us internationals to keep to the schedule...

Edit: Yes, Mirela, i'm from Bucharest, but i got my package last week, if this is why you were asking...

No, I'm asking just out of curiosity. You mentioned "none of the romanian (or moldavian) RD's" --> how many of them are there? Becasue, as far as I know, we're only 3 Bulgarians at Princeton this year.
What do you intend to study?

An incredible 8 romanians and one moldavian guy! wooot!!! :D

This number is such an all-time record 4 romania that i can make statistics :D :
3 girls and 6 boys
3 intl olympiad medalists (2 math + 1 physics), 6 well rounded ppl, all 8 with moderately high scores
4 will do OA (yeee!!), 4 will do IpO (booo!) j/k :p

I know one of the bulgarians, he's a math guy, and we participated at a contest in Romania together last week ;) . His initials are AL, maybe you know him... :)

I'm gonna study math, topped with tons of other interesting stuff (which i still have to choose :D )...

Where are you from? and what do you like most?

mirela - check in the Princeton 2009 subforum - there's lots of discussion about the packages and how to fill in the forms etc.

Pavalon, that is really great! 8 Romanians! I cannot believe it!
Yes, I know AL and also NH (who's a physics genius from what I've heard about him) :)
I'm primarily interested in finance, german & spanish but we'll see...:)
Pavalon, I'd love to meet you on campus :)

Mirela: i think that during four years, it's gonna be hard not to meet on campus! :D And I'm looking forward to meeting you too! I'm already thinking about national / regional cooking on Sundays (yum) and the International Festival and mnay other things - we're gonna have a (cultural) blast! :D

Did you manage to get it touch with the office after all? I'm interested also for my friends...
