Just curious-- Has anyone heard from Hartt regarding their audition day/time? We’ve had our stuff (including supplement) submitted for a while, and nothing… not even a log-in ID.

Yes we got our audition date and time already

Yes, we received our audition date and time also. Did you apply via the Common App? If so, there is a whole other application for the Hartt School which I happened to chance upon.

Don’t you all just love the seven layers of application hell MTs (and their parents) have to go through to make sure they have applied to a Colllege?! I don’t know how some steps can NOT be missed! Sounds like you should submit the Hartt School application too, maybe that’s why you haven’t received an audition date/time SU88BFA.

Call up. You will probably speak to Ashley Malcolm who I’m sure will be happy to help you figure out the glitch.

We submitted supplement and the regular app and got an audition time fairly quickly. Just a couple of days. My D is applying BFA acting. Maybe that made a difference?

Both apps-- Common and the Hartt supplement-- have been submitted. Sounds like I need to make a phone call.

It was about a 4 day turn-around for us and D is applying to MT. I would call.

Make the call. As I look through the Hartt folder I have, I found a copy of
“Thank you for submitting your Hartt Supplemental Application” which popped up when we uploaded. My son received an e-mail the next day to say they could not read the upload and to re-send as a PDF which he did. They sent another e-mail the following day to say it worked. They really were on the ball, so I’m sure you will have a resolution soon. He soon received the e-mail with audition info and a visitor parking pass.

SU88BFA: My D has her time for Hartt at Chicago Unifieds. Got it about two weeks ago.

Yes, my D received her date and time. Just got airline tickets yesterday.

Posting a follow-up to my thread. S received his audition time/date earlier this week. BUT-- it wasn’t easy! Last week I called the Hartt Admissions office to inquire, and it turns out that the Hartt Supplement we submitted in mid-October was “lost” in cyberspace. They had record of the payment I had made after the supplement was filled out, but that was it.

After I spoke on the phone w/the office, the next morning the supplement was filled out again and I emailed them saying it was posted. Again, they did not receive it. What? Obviously this concerned the admissions and IT offices, because if mine was getting lost, were others also? We ended up filling out the supplement for a third time, saving it-- and the essays prompts and resume-- as .pdf files and emailing those to the admissions office.

During the entire process the office was super-nice and apologetic. And in the end we got a great audition time/day for Chicago Unifieds.

Is anyone going directly to HARTT in December to audition?

My son will be there. It will be his first audition and he is very excited. Hartt is one of three schools that he is able to do on-campus. Communication from Hartt has been very prompt and helpful and they are definitely at the top of his wish list (and I’m liking them a lot too!).

Hartt’s customer service has been amazing. I get a response within minutes of an emai and they are always so helpful.

BISOUU or Entertainersmom —are either of you going to audition at HARTT in December?

My D is auditioning in LA at Unifieds.

My son will be auditioning at Hartt in December. He has an afternoon slot.

My daughter is auditioning at Hartt on December 7th in the afternoon. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Out of all the schools so far, Hartt has been the most responsive. Several e-mails that the application was received and even a personal phone call because of the problems with the Common App.
