Received email form FAFSA and I don't know what this mean.. help please~!

I got an email from FAFSA couple days back and it said

'Based on the information we have on record for you, your EFC is 08384. You are not eligible for a Federal Pell Grant but you may be eligible for other aid. Your school will use your EFC to determine your financial aid eligibility for other federal grants, loans, and work study, and possible funding from your state and school.'

What does it mean? Pell Grant is different from Cal grant and financial aid right?

This doesn't mean I'm not eligible for Cal grant or financial aid?

BTW, when do we know how much i'm getting for the school I decide to go?

Thank you~

Pell Grant is federal aid. Cal Grant is California state aid and is determined based on income and asset ceilings. You also must meet minimum GPA requirements (a GPA verification form was required by March 2 along with your FAFSA). So yes, they are two entirely different aid programs. The qualified California colleges you applied to will tell you if you qualified for Cal Grant or you can log into your CSAC account to see if the information has been updated there.
