So I received my financial aid package today and it was actually really good. The problem is is that IIT offered me a full tuition scholarship to their school and because of this I would be paying about $10,000 more to go to Rose. Is there any way I could get more aid? They have already been pretty generous, so I don't know if they would be able to give me any more. As of right now though I would probably have to go to IIT (a school that I really didn't want to have to go to). I have been applying to outside scholarships left and right in an attempt to scrounge up enough money for Rose. Advice or anything? Thanks!

You can certainly call or email the financial aid office and explain your situation to them. They might be able to give you more aid, but it can’t hurt. Other than that, you are already on the right track by applying to other scholarships, and I can’t really think of anything else to suggest. Good luck!

Do you think I should call them or my parents should since I do not really know about how all of the other stuff works? And then just explain the situation?

Either you or your parents can call, whichever you feel more comfortable with. But whoever calls should explain that Rose is your first choice, but you have a full scholarship to IIT and aren’t sure if you’re willing to pay whatever the amount is to go to Rose. I can’t make any guarantees, but if there’s something they can do to help, they will.
