@jerseygirl,it says they dont have my ru id in their database, are you sure that is it?

It told me that the first time too. Then the second time it worked. You will only have an offer if they have received your FAFSA. If you haven’t filed yet it won’t be done.

I just got my Initial Financial Aid offer as well and a Dean’s Scholarship was included.

i have filled FAFSA and they have received it but I still see nothing :(,thanks though

hvairline, when your offer is up, you should get a small postcard in the mail from Rutgers with a link to the financial aid page.

@Jerseygirl5 @Structur3 Thank you!! I checked it and received the same thing as you guys (dean scholarship) along with loans. I still feel like I have to pay a lot of money compared to my EFC number. Is there a way we can call Rutgers and find other ways to gain money? Thank you!!!

If you find a way let me know. I think we’re pretty much stuck with what we got. I’m hoping for some private scholarships to help out.

How much did the Dean’s Scholarship get you?

Wait I’m confused.

If you get a scholarship, does it come up with the financial aid thing? I got the postcard and stuff, but I still don’t know if I will get any scholarships…

@headsniped The Dean’s Scholarship was another $2,500.

@syc652 Yea. I guess since it’s an “offer” it shows you everything (Financial Aid + scholarships)

syc652, like mets4life said above, all scholarships should be listed in your initial offer. If you got a Scarlett Scholarship, you probably would have received a letter for that.

kjp,=ki-,kkil-.-.-l-.p,.,…h

I don’t think I got any sort of scholarship :(. I thought my stats were decent enough to get some kind of money. Oh well.

oops…my post got messed up for some reason…anyways…

i got in a week after i submitted my app
and in mid january i got some scholarship (not scarlett or dean’s or w/e, but name was complicated) for $10,000 per year, cept my SAT and GPA are about the same as you guys…

also…i applied as “need to fill petition for NJ residency”, so if i do get residency, would my scholarship amount decrease? or is it 10k a year no matter residency?

I’m an NJ resident and I had a 30 on ACTs, and mostly As and Bs, and so far I’ve got nothing. =(

Wow, this really stinks.

I got a 2300 on my SATs and have a pretty high GPA too…I definitely expected some scholarship money. This is fairly odd.

Rutgers is incredibly stingy this year

They really are. I got really annoyed when quite a few people from my school who had lower stats than I got more money… I got a Scarlet Award and a Dean’s Scholarship. My stats aren’t amazing, but it still threw me off why people who applied a month after I did and have lower stats than I still got more money, you know? I guess it’s just the weird bureaucracy at RU…

No scholarship :/. At least Rutgers gave me SOME financial aid. I can’t complain, the tuition is cheap to begin with.

A lot of people got screwed over this year. I am hoping on getting many private scholarships! Thanks for all the info guys and gals of CC
