<p>D received the National Buckeye Scholarship and the Provost Scholarship, but has not received any information on admission to Honors/Scholars. Is it possible to receive both of those scholarships and not be offered Honors or Scholars? She applied for Honors, but we read if not accepted into Honors would be considered for Scholars. </p>

<p>We’re in the same boat here - D was awarded National Buckeye + Provost but has not heard about Honors. I was able to talk to someone in Honors during this past week who told me that decisions are continuing to be sent out through January 31.</p>

<p>I sense a trend here. It seems that they might be notifying the in-state applicants first, although it is speculation on my part…My S does not have a lot of volunteer type work, he played soccer on 2-3 teams and worked, so that might be a reason why he hasn’t heard too.</p>
<p>We are OOS, but I do know OOS kids who have heard back. One thing I was thinking that maybe kids who applied for honors are being evaluated for scholars? Or scholar applications are being evaluated for honors. In my D’s case she has tons of leadership and community service and applied for honors, maybe scholars is a better fit?</p>
<p>S has been notified of scholarship money and that fisher direct will be making decisions in the future months. I think he has to get into honors or business scholars first so maybe just some programs are still in evaluation. We are in state and the acceptance was the 3rd week of December. </p>

<p>29happymom26 - good point that maybe it’s by program. My D is also Business and received the notification that she would be hearing soon about Fisher Direct, maybe honors/scholars comes along with that? I guess all we can do is wait and see (and speculate??).</p>
<p>Someone called my son yesterday from OSU to congratulate him on scholarships and a chance for questions but he didn’t recognize he number so he let it go to voice mail …wish he could have asked when he’d hear about the status of honor/scholar decisions. (He will be an Industrial design major)
