Received the RPI Medal: Does this mean automatic admission?

<p>This spring, I received the Rensselaer Medal. I know that this means that it's free to apply now, but does it [basically] mean an automatic entry into the school? </p>

<p>If the school is already offering a $60,000 scholarship, then what is the chance of not getting in?</p>

<p>It's not a guaranteed acceptance, but your chances are definitely up there. Assuming that you are from at least a somewhat decent school, I'd say 80+%</p>
