Receiving a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering while in a Graduate Program : with pre-existing BA

Hello,
I’ve been trying to find routes to acquire a B.S. in Engineering while having a pre-existing BA in Business Administration. Currently, California only accepts a handful of people per semester (5-10) who are trying to get a second bachelors, I can say that for at least Cal-State Fullerton and Long Beach. I have heard it may be due to a low budget for education in California because there is so many people. Schools prefer you to go to Graduate route.

Back to my question, is it possible to get a BS while in a Graduate program? It is only $1k more per semester at a cal state. The requirements for BA in business and Graduate in Engineering are so different that you will have to pretty much start from scratch. 150 semester units is so much schooling when you already been in school for 120 units.

Also, in BS Engineering, there are technical electives that looks like it can be satisfied with Graduate courses, does this mean its possible to satisfy both bachelors and post-bachelors requirements simultaneously?

I’m planning to talk to the department chair for CSUF, but that’s not for a while.

Thank you for reading

Whether or not it’s technically possible depends on the university and their rules, but I’ll go out on a limb and say that practically, this is virtually impossible. When you’re in a graduate program you’re there to get a graduate degree, not as a cover for earning a second bachelor’s. You’ll be expected to take primarily graduate courses, and you may be limited in how many undergrad courses you can even enroll in. You will definitely get a side-eye if you are in, say, an MBA program but are enrolling in 2-3 engineering undergrad classes a semester.

Most universities won’t let you do this, unless you are in a special BS/MS program.
