The ACT seems to have been getting harder over the past few exams... For example, the recent science sections are a lot more difficult than those in the Red Book.

But do the Red Book practice math sections reflect the current ACTs? I've practiced math and did fairly well on practice #4 math in the red book... Not too sure if the score is a fluke or a representative of the test ill be taking in Dec.

I found the level to be similar and ive taken the last two in october and september. It could be that youre just more nervous while taking the actual test…

The general consensus I have gathered from my students is that the difficulty of both the Science and the Math sections is, indeed, increasing.

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do except to practice the concepts behind the logic of the test. I.e., understanding how to read graphs, dissecting difficult graphs, comparing experiments and understanding their implications, etc.
