Did you complete Part I? Cuz you should have gotten an ID # after completing Part I. If not, then you can call admissions and they'll tell you your ID number.

yes i completed Part 1, and I do have a USC ID number... but its not working! I didn't know if maybe there was a different ID number for Discover USC. As of now, I'm using the ID number that came on the letter confirming that USC received my application. This is really stressing me out. I also can't log into the website that lets you update your midyear grades. I've e-mailed the office of admission and plan on calling them Monday. The strange part is- when I called the Office of Admission on Tuesday, the guy didn't mention that there was anything wrong with my application, so I don't think there is. I hope this is just a computer glitch.

Your USC ID is just the number on your barcodes during the application process. That's what I used, anyway.

what the heck! i used that and it didnt work... this is quite frustrating!!!!

Yeah, you might have been possibly assigned two numbers. It's very common, it happened to me last year also. Again, gonna have to chk with admissions office.

okay... thanks so much redski59. thats such a relief, i was freaking out!!!

juciygal I wouldn't worry, just have a little faith, I wasn't trying to say that you got rejected, just what the adcom officer told me. Sorry if I disappointed you, I would actually doubt that you would get rejected, your stats are good.

It has nothing to do with your USC ID#. I remember getting a number in the mail last year with something, and then I set up the account. I have no idea how you can get an account started.

actually, i have heard back from usc...

i did not do part 1 but i got a barcode and barcode stickers AFTER i submitted my application. then i got a different one a week later with an application (after i submitted my application online).

i presumed that my first barcode was correct since it matches the one they sent me this week in my acceptance letter.

opps, i am sorry...

i meant that i can't log in into the website sig.usc.edu/login but i could log into discover usc. actually, i can't log into the fin aid account either. strange...

good luck... i am sure you will be fine.

thanks anyway! oh boy- all these sites confuse me! juicygal2001- thanks, that makes me feel a lot better that it might not be my USC ID. I just e-mailed the admissions office, and inquired as to the possibility of me being assigned 2 IDs, as redski59 suggested. so, hopefully i'll hear a reply sometime next week.. along with an admissions decision, haha! : )
twilightdarling: well congrats to you! i only received one set of IDs, but they came with a paper application that i received (after i, too, submitted my application online).
anyway its all just kind of confusing. i'll call the admissions office, and as long as my application is okay and things are fine- then i'm fine too!

so did all of you come to a conclusion yet that all of the recent acceptees are being considered for some type of scholarship?

yeah, i'm pretty positive that if we were accepted that we are being considered for a scholarship. If you can't access your http://caravan.esd.usc.edu/exploreusc/ account, it's probably cuz u need to call the office about your ID number. If you wait until you get the letter in the mail (don't worry, it will come) it will say your ID on it. My suggestion is to call the office. Registration for the interviews at USC is pretty much first come first serve.

how many recs were we supposed to use to apply? I only used one....

Where in the Explore USC login do they tell you which scholarship you're being considered for? All I get is a screen where I can register for an Explore ESC program.

type in your ID number and your b-day. press enter... then, it will show you some dates. If those are in Feb, you are being considered for Trustee (32,000 a year). If those are in March, you are being considered for Presidential (16000 a year)

its definitely times like this that i wish the admissions office was open on saturday... i want to call them RIGHT NOW and find out whats up with my ID! AHHH.

So if my dates are all in April...?

accepted RD

my ID number doesnt work on the explore site.

augh.

Isn't it weird that theyre doing normal RD acceptances so early?
