<p>Hey there, I’m a senior at Scripps. </p>
<p>I agree with what Eternal Icicle said, that sometimes it can be surreal. Claremont is quite a small bubble, but that doesn’t mean that Scripps or the other Claremont Colleges does not have it’s fair share of students coming from all over the world and from very different backgrounds. I have many friends who come from very different backgrounds than myself, and from each other, and I have found that it’s not hard to find different perspectives. I also have found that it’s fairly easy to find people who have shared your experiences and other students who you can relate to very closely. I don’t feel that you will feel misplaced whatsoever, but if you do - there are many groups, clubs, events that are held on campus for this exact reason. </p>
<p>Many students are on financial aid, many students work for “work study” and many students work because they want to, and some students don’t work other than their work they have for classes. It’s never asked by your peers which category you fall under, nor does it seem to ever matter.</p>
<p>One last thing. I have never been more satisfied, happy, and excited about my education than I do now after almost 4 years at Scripps.</p>
