Recieved a packet, but not an acceptance/rejection letter

Hey guys, I'm currently at a community college here in Virginia and will be finishing up my associates this semester and hopefully transferring in the fall to Longwood University. I applied about two months ago and just today I received a packet that I thought would be the acceptance letter, however, it was a packet with a persuasive letter and brochure trying to convince me to choose Longwood over the other schools I applied to (which I didn't apply to any others)

I thought this was weird as I haven't received any other letters, nor did the packet have any forms to send in a response or give me directions to do so. I called admissions but had to settle with leaving a message, I also sent them an e-mail.

So I figured while I was waiting for their official response I would see if anyone could explain what this might mean. I'm assuming this is a good sign. Even though I meet all of the requirements for the guaranteed admission by a good bit, I'm still kind of nervous about the whole process for some reason.

Thanks in advance.

It's a good sign, but don't go quitting your classes until you have a letter.....

Traditionally this happens every year for many regular applicants. Last year I think it happened a record number of times, of people not only receiving information about the school, but also registration dates and meal plans before the actual acceptance got to them. I know that last year Yale did this to some people. Take this as a good sign and good luck.

Congratulation! You are in. The acceptance letter will soon follow. Happened to mines couple of monthes ago.

Awesome, thanks a lot for the feedback :)
