Recieved Acceptance Call but no Acceptance Letter?

About a week ago, Gardner-Webb called and left a message saying that I had been accepted into the school. Hooray and such, this school being my first choice. However, I have not received a formal acceptance letter. I have emailed my admissions counselor but haven't gotten a response.

I don't live too far away from this college, maybe thirty miles at best, so I highly doubt it has gotten lost in the mail.
What do you think could be the problem?

They probably just didn't get the letters out all that quickly. I really wouldn't worry about this. Your admissions counselor will get back to you, unless the letter arrives before that. Patience.

Two of my friends have been accepted there. We all applied at the same time and they have both received their letters. It just seems odd to me.

About three weeks ago, they sent a letter stating that my application had been recieved and yaddi yadda. The letter also said that enclosed was some information about their nursing program that I needed to review as well as a letter of intent that needed to be signed and returned. No sight of that either.

Just a bit baffled, as it were.
:/

well--I see no harm in just driving over and chatting with the person at the desk. Explain the situation and ask for the letter. Be super polite. You might as well be assertive and not just "wait" which must be driving you bonkers.

Oh well, since your friends have gotten their letters then maybe just call admissions and ask, or like oregon101 says, drop in and inquire.

Yeah. It is driving me crazy.

I suppose I can bear to wait until the end of the week.
Drive up on Friday right after school.

My sister attends there, so I could find out what would be the best time to catch my particular counselor.

Hi HaleyBug2009,
My daughter just got accepted there. We haven’t visited yet, but really liked all we’ve read. If you could give me your thoughts on the school and your sister’s that would be great. Dorms, food, people, the area, classes, etc.
