Your guidance councelor can help you a lot. Make sure you go and have a meeting with him/her and figure out your options.
Sometimes guidance councelors can also call other schools and say “Hey, I’ve got this great kid, but somehow he fell through the cracks. Here are his stats–they’re pretty good for your school.” Some schools will accept or at least consider you as a late applicant if you are a good candidate for their school. You might end up at a safety school, but you can get in.
Definitely have your GC call Syracuse first of all though and see what they say. If they don’t admit you, immediately start compiling and applying to some schools with rolling admissions. The more you delay, the less of a chance you’ll have, so keep that in mind.</p>
