I'm still waiting on like 10 other schools tho...

what are your stats?

They send likely letters?

Cool!! I didn't get one though. :(

What was the Likely Letter like.

it wasn't a likely letter. i (along with all my friends) received a letter which is probably what you are talking about. btw, i live next door to lehigh and have great contact with the school; so far, they don't send likely letters unless it's a recruited athlete.

It says:

Dear Michael,

Greetings from Lehigh! I am writing to you with good news. Based on a preliminary review of your application, it appears that you are likely to recieve an offer of admission in late March. The Committee on Admissions is impressed with your acadmic credentials and personal qualities. We believe that you are the type of student who will be successful at Lehigh. In previous years, students who have recieved letters like this one have been admitted at an exceptionally high rate.

The purpose of this early notification is to ask you to reserve the dates of April 8-10 for a visit to Lehigh. We will host our Diversity Life Program that will draw students to campus from all over the country. Events will include classroom visits, seminars with faculty and staff, social gatherings with alumni and students and Spectacular Spectacular, a talent show that highlights Lehigh's cultural diversity. You will have a student host during your stay and your travel expenses will be covered by Lehigh.

Within the next two weeks you will recieve an official invitation to Diversity Life Weekend (I recieved it yesterday). Once you recieve the invitation, please contact Adrienne Yurack at 610-758-3102 before March 15, so that she can facilitate travel arrangements. In the meantime, please accept my congratulations. If you have questions, feel free to call or write.

Welcome to Lehigh!

Sincerely,

Eric J Kaplan
Dean of Admissions and
Financial Aid

PS: Also recieved likely from Dartmouth.

obviously, you are the exception. the fact that you are a desirable URM is the reason behind your letter. Personally, mine was from the architecture department with a separate letter from a professor. I also received one for being a recruited athlete.

on that note, i am the exception also. many received letters, however, the exceptions are likely ones
