Recind?

1st Trimester: B B+ A- A- A
2nd Trimester: A A A A- A-
3rd Trimester: A B A B B C?

A C isn’t that egregious, I doubt they’ll rescind you for that. Who knows though with admissions the way it is anymore?

They won’t rescind you for one C. Believe me.

If they do, I’ll never log onto CC ever again
(please no!)

If you have that many B’s already I doubt that one C would kill you.

Thank you for the responses. Any other thoughts? Would it elicit a letter?

Don’t you have two months left in the third trimester? Why not just work a little harder and spare yourself the anxiety?

Hey Ace,

Basically, I wouldn’t stress too much about a rescind. That’s highly unlikely… Schools like Harvard take pride in the students they spend so much time hand-picking, so rescinds are usually the worst-case scenario, and a LAST resort.

However, you MIGHT get a concerned letter from your admissions officer, wanting to make sure everything’s okay. Try to at least have a thoughtful response (but don’t just make excuses like “senioritis”… they don’t want to hear that.) Just be honest.

Good Luck at Harvard! We’ll have fun being rivals. ;)

That’s a good question…does it matter what quarter/trimester grades you receive? Or do they care more about your final grades for the year? Because I didn’t perform as well in English this quarter, but overall my grade won’t suffer as a whole too badly.

Okay i’m in the same boat. I’m usually a straight A student, but third quarter I’m pretty sure I will be getting a D or E in AP Lit…I do have an excuse tho, my family has had a lot emergencies the past couple monthes. My other teachers have been rly accomodating in giving me ample time to make up assigns, but my english teach is kind of a jerk and I couldnt keep up with reading & essays because I just had so much going on. I am sure that I will still pass the class overall with a B or a C, but idk how Harvard will be accepting of that…?

^^You don’t have to send them quarter breakdowns.

Just have your counselor send your final grades!
