<p>Is there a proper procedure to withdraw/recind all other applications after ED acceptance? Do you just call the school or does it need to be in writing? If writing, is email ok or fax? </p>

<p>I suggest sending a formal letter and giving copies to your GC. That way, if the college overlooks the communication, you'll still have proof that you did the right thing.</p>
<p>We didn't encounter this situation, but I'm sure it should be in writing, not over the phone. Personally, I think a letter would be the preferred method.</p>
<p>You can do it in a letter or in an email. Either way, request a reply email confirming receipt of your withdrawl.</p>
<p>My D was recruited and she also sent personal letters to the coaches from the other schools who had been so helpful and kind. Many of them wrote very nice letters back to her, wishing her joy and success in her ED school.</p>
<p>I wrote a letter which I then faxed .....I also gave a copy of the letter, fax & confirm to my college counselor so that all would be informed.</p>
